Overhead Crane & Hoist Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance — Southern Alberta

Badlands Crane & Hoist provides comprehensive crane and hoist inspection, repair, and maintenance services for industrial, agricultural, and commercial operations across Medicine Hat, Redcliff, Dunmore, Brooks, Taber, Bow Island, Cypress County, and surrounding Southern Alberta communities. All inspections are performed in accordance with CSA B167, applicable provincial occupational health and safety requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.

Crane & Hoist Inspections

Regular inspection is required to keep overhead cranes, gantry cranes, monorails, hoists, and jib cranes safe, compliant, and reliable. We provide:

  • Periodic (annual) inspections — required under CSA B167 to maintain compliance and insurance requirements

  • Pre-use inspections — verifying equipment is safe before a shift or job begins

  • Post-repair inspections — confirming repairs were completed correctly and equipment is safe to return to service

  • Below-the-hook equipment inspections — slings, shackles, spreader bars, and other lifting attachments
